The Custard Stand restaurants in Webster Springs and Flatwoods will offer farm-to-fork menu items made with produce from Cranberry Forest Farm in Cowen.
“We were looking for a great local farm to work with and Cranberry Forest Farm fits the bill perfectly,” says owner Angie “The Chili Queen” Cowger.
First up, this weekend at The Custard Stand – Webster Springs: Blueberry Cobbler.
“We’ll add special items to the menu at Webster Springs and Flatwoods throughout the summer and fall,” Angie says.
Cranberry Forest Farm recently opened a 7.5 acre “pick your own” farm in Birch River. You can pick your own green beans, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, cantaloupes, pumpkins and much more at wholesale prices. The farm is on Route 82, just a mile off of the Birch River exit on Route 19. Look for the 8-foot high deer fence and you’ll know you’re in the right place.
