West Virginia Department of Agriculture Commissioner Walt Helmick, a Webster Springs native, toured our Custard Stand Food Products production facility on March 15, 2013.
Commissioner Helmick was very familiar with our brand and many of our processes from his experience in the bottled water business. The size and scope of our facility certainly seemed to impress Helmick.
His goals include implementation of legislation that has West Virginia companies utilizing WV-grown and -made products; development of meat processing facilities; and an increase in the consumption of WV agricultural products. Those certainly tie into our goals of selling more chili.
We certainly appreciate the state officials who visit our locations.
