Frito pie made with Custard Stand Chili Soup

Ingredients

* You can be substitute two 12 oz. tubs of Custard Stand Hot Dog Chili and a 15oz. can of beans (pinto, kidney, black).

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Pour Chili Soup into a small saucepan and simmer for 30 minutes.
  3. Chop the onions and shred the cheese (if needed).
  4. Cover the bottom of the deep-dish pie pan with 1 1/2 cups of Fritos, reserving a cup.
  5. Cover Fritos with a cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Sprinkle chopped onion over the cheese.
  6. Pour in Chili Soup.
  7. Stuff remaining Fritos around the edge of the pie pan, keeping the Chili Soup in the middle.
  8. Top with remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and garnish with chopped green onion and a dollop of sour cream.
