Hot Dog Uglies

Thank goodness they taste better than they look! Great for a get together, like game day.

  • Ingredients:

    • 1 lb tub of Custard Stand Hot Dog Chili
    • Can of  “grand” size refrigerator biscuits(We like the flaky kind instead of butter or buttermilk.)
    • 4 whole hot dogs
    • shredded cheddar cheese
  • Directions:

    1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. In a small sauce pan simmer Custard Stand Hot Dog Chili.
    3. Lightly spray a muffin pan and small section of your counter or cutting board with non stick baking spray.
    4. On counter or cutting board, roll out each biscuit so that it’s about 5″ around.  Put one biscuit in one muffin cup.
    5. Cut hot dogs in half length wise, then into slices. Put half a hot dog into each biscuit.
    6. Cover  hot dogs with the heated Custard Stand Hot Dog Chili.
    7. Top that with shredded cheddar cheese.
    8. Pinch the edges of the biscuits together over the filling.
    9. Bake for up to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
